99 CENT BIN

did some digging last night. i forgot how great flipping through sidewalk bins on a summer night can be.

first up is an al kooper super session. i already had the shuggie otis/al kooper record and was going to buy this strictly on the strength of that, not even knowing how good this donovan cover would be.....

next great find was sarah vaughan's "feelin good" album. not sure why theres nothing on youtube for this record......maybe its rare and i scored??? or maybe people just dont think its worth posting. i figured the sample spotting heads would be all over this for holding the source track for this one......

the other sarah vaughan track that caught my eye was "easy evil" which i already had a version of on 45 by none other then john travolta. seriously. but heres the thing....its actually good.........

i'm gonna try and get my record recording set up a little more user friendly so i can get some of these tracks in mp3 form. i might even start a weekly vinyl post. who knows.

I was always partial to the Carmen McRae Remix version of "Just a little Lovin." It's the GB Remix, (not sure but my money is on Geoff Barrow)

If you want a download just give a shout and I'll throw it up somewhere.
