as promised, volume two of my living room records. we'll go in order from left to right.

iron butterfly - in a gadda da vida.......as sampled by "nas - hip hop is dead" (he also sampled the incredible bongo bands version for thiefs theme)


grace jones - my jamaican guy.......as sampled by "ll cool j - doin it"


friends of distinction - and i love him........as sampeld by "dj day - four hills"


weather report - birdland........you might have to be from seattle to know this one, but p smoov gets huge credit from me for finding and flipping this one on "diamond pistols"


and lastly, a song thats been getting a lot of spins in the house lately.......

joe bataan - what good is a castle part 2...........as sampled by yours truely "rick ross - hustlin' remix"

Co-sign four hills and the friends of distinction - great tracks 9000.

It has been sampled countless other times as well, including for Maybach Music and the original cut for Nas' "Hope". Beirut also used it in an American Gangster remix.

I can't say enough about this blog, so I won't.
