Where did you take those pictures from?
Headin out to Seattle from Chicago in December and lookin for good hiking spots.

that was the snow lake trail that starts from the parking lot of the Alpental ski resort. it was pretty icy and steep though so by december it might not be the best spot. i'd look for somthing more in the snow shoe realm. maybe paradise on mt. rainier.
